These 4 players have caused massive debate amongst LFC and opposition supporters.With some good points and bad.Heres my view on them
Carroll – You cant get away from it ,spendin £35m on the lad was a MASSIVE mistake,IMO hes worth about £10-12m in reality.Hes struggled,big time apart from a couple of games,and now there’s the odd rumour he isnt showing the requested desire also.Sometimes his touch is ok,sometimes its poor,definitely lackin confidence,also not sure he is working as hard as he should be, which is probably why Dalglish keeps leaving him out despite the Suarez ban , plus heard John Aldridge sayin hes pickin up the wrong positions when a cross come in the box.Could be gone in the summer.
Henderson – Again seriously struggled at the start, mainly due to being played out of position on the right. But has a very good work ethic,and seems to the Lucas type in that he wont give up either.Gotta bit of quality, but occasionally has a bad touch.Week on week he seems to be getting better and better,growing in confidence.Think he is definitely here for the long term and in many years to come will possibly look to be a bit of a bargain.
Downing - Again struggled at times,was excellent pre season, but hasn’t been anywhere near as convincing since,lacking confidence,after hitting the bar about 3 times and having loadsa players miss chances he has created.Definitely not worth £20m(prob worth about 12m),and Mata/Cazorla would have been far better bets.But I think the problem is more between his ears,rather than at his feet.In that if he creates a few goal scoring chances and scores a couple of goals, think he could turn into a good buy.Confidence and self belief is his issue, just needs to be more positive and aggressive some times
Adam –Had a really good spell in the side about October/November which coincided with Lucas playing like a monster.Started the season fairly unconvincingly and until the City game the last 6 weeks has been absolutely terrible.Set pieces have been dire,has as his passin,he lacks pace which means he gets caught out defensively and when tackling.Really just don’t think hes good enough,had a purple patch at Blackpool for 12 months, but wasn’t deemed good enough for a starting berth under 3 different Rangers managers.Overvalued IMO at £7m, I think hes worth about £3m.When everyones fit , not a prayer of the first 11.

Adam has actually been one of the better players in the squad,
His contribution has been good and he's unfairly becoming a scapegoat.
Adam never said his corners were good - that was Ferguson - since when has his words been gospel

I think it clear that the cost of the player does matter. If Carroll was bought for say £10m then his performances would have been far better than having the pressure of a £35m price tag around his neck

That's my point though, if everyone keeps comparing him to his price tag then he will always be under a lot of pressure to perform. I can understand wums doing it, as that is what they do, but us Liverpool fans need to take the pressure off him and give him a chance.
He will still become a very good player, although maybe not for us as he doesn't suit the style of play, but still while he is here we need to stick by him and support him.

Money aside again, as that doesn't matter, Adam has been good when playing further forward, as he was before Lucas' injury, but since Lucas has been injured he's had to play further back and looks very uncomfortable there.

Problem with Adam is inconsistency. Does something really good this and does something really poor next minute and is too selfish imo. With two people on both sides of him waiting for a tap in, he always decides to shoot into a defender in front of him.
Also he doesn't have the brain and mobility to play pass and move. Got a quality pass on him but doesn't know when to pass/release the ball.

It's Got_Better on here, if you excuse the pun. It was ridiculous at a certain point because of the wums but it seems to have settled down. There's some cracking posters across all the boards, but there's still an abnormally high concentration of kids trying to get a rise, particularly the Landan lot.
Regardless of the criticism we get constantly, the Liverpool board has really picked up over the last few months. There's a couple of long-term chat threads etc.

Henderson also lacks consistency, sometimes the way he traps the ball, you'd think he was Zidane. Other times he'd miss it completely. But....he is young and consistency comes with age anyway blah blah.
