Hi Mallorca, We are enjoying some much needed rain today. It started in the evening yesterday. We knew it was coming so no problems.

I was going to build a wall today but having seen the forecast I started and finished it yesterday.

Since I got back from England in October, I haven't stopped. I have a new summer kitchen at the end of a terrace which runs the length of the Villa. I did most of the work myself with the help of my Spanish builder. I have concreted an area to the side of it to tile and then built the wall. I'll be pleased when it's all finished, it's been a long job.

Cruising isn't my bag, I get sea sickness on a pedalow. I know these large cruisers have great stability but I went on a mini cruise a few years ago and decided it wasn't for me. What's more important, her indoors didn't like it either. >OK>

I can only reassure you that it's a very very safe form of transport. My best friend has taken part in around the world Yacht race on two occasions. One of his friends and an acquaintance of mine has a boat here on the Costa but no way would you get me on it.

When I lived in England a good friend of mine had a boat on Windermere (before the speed limit) but despite many invitations, he couldn't get me on board.
