Scary Thought

Thinking of David Moyes striker preferences and lack of funds I hope he isn't thinking of taking a punt on Heskey i.e. big, puts himself about, unsettles defenders, falls over and to easily, whinging, useless in front of goal, and cheap. I agree in the main that with a new manager at Chelsea we could look at some of their bit players that they will be willing to let go on the cheap, let’s face it there are quite a few, and Chelsea might also be willing to pay part of wage bill as well. Myself I'm counting on a few youth players stepping up after the success of last season. Also I agree that Everton FC needs to be kept in Liverpool, when you leave you home town or city you do tend to lose your history and football identity. It happened to my home town club Chester when we played at the Macclesfield ground we lost so many supporters that never came back as well as emerging young supporter’s. Anyway this is my first posting so be gentle.

RE Wiggy

Thanks.

I'll second the bet.

Even more so now Chris Hughton is in charge.

You will one of the first to see the re-moulding of Birmingham in the pre-season friendly.

I know Heskey has his critics but he would be almost the ideal foil for Beckford. Poeple slate him, yes he falls over, yes he doesn't score a lot of goals. But from the free kicks - opportunities to score, from his presence - creates space for others to run into, holds the ball up - brings others into play. For 500k he'd be well worth a punt if you ask me.

Mcfadden would be a waste of space, didn't have enough pace before he got his injuries so he'll be even worse now.

A scary thought for any team would be acing a fully fit and firing Saha. If only he could play a full season, he's lethal. If I was Moyesy I'd be wrapping him in cooton wool during pre season and try to get him really fit and strong. The man is an out and out finisher - he's got it all, score, head, pass, hold the ball up. God, if you can't see fit to give me the lottery win tonight, please give us a fully fit Saha and 30 goals this season from him, please.

We've already got Vic for that

Heskey? No, no. Please.

McFadden? Poor man's Bily so why bother?

Keeping Saha fit all season would be tremendous but is as likely to happen as me winning the Euromillions, unfortunately.

Heskey...he falls over....he doesnt score a lot of goals.
Just what the doctor ordered then.

McFadden is a poor mans Bily...
He may as well throw his boots away now.
