That Sky or the BBC will totally dismiss the fixture against our neighbours on the 17th September to probably show Peterborough V Burnley !!
Does anyone else get p.....ed off with the fact that TV broadcasters seem to totally dismiss the East Midlands derby?
Disgrace !!
It will go without question

What like last year?
BBC showed one, didn't sky show the other?
Bleedin broadcasters, eh?

Last season, neither showed either.
I think our cup game was on the telly a few years back.

Must've been the season before then when both were shown, I was gutted as missed both.
Crawley was on last year.
Am sure I remember ESPN covering something of ours.

But everyone knows the historic Derby v Florest game is no where near as good as Burnley v Peterborugh

Only one has been on TV in recent years and that was the Atwell one
The cup game would have been on but the police wouldnt let us change days so they opted for Liverpool Everton game instead

I think Derby v Birmingham offers more than West Ham v Cardiff or Hull v Blackpool, but there you go.
I think the tv people only regard Man City v Man U and Chelsea v Arsenal or Tottenham as 'Derby' games.
I think if Derby and Forest were in the Prem, it would definately be on TV.

It will probably depend upon where Derby are in the table. The last few years Derby have been, at best, mediocre so the fixture has had little influence on the big issues of promotion or relegation. If it turns out to be a big promotion clash it might make the TV schedules.
What you have to remember is that the game might be massive to you guys, but it has precious little significance to anybody else. As it hasn't been a regular top flight fixture for a generation, why should it?

This game has excitement every year from fights to disallowed goals with plenty of history to fill the start of any show and plenty of ex players in each team to build the tension. I watched Swansea v Cardiff to teams that were on the play offs this season and did not have any atmosphere or excitement which this fixture has every year.

I am sure the season before last both games were shown, I though it was last season but I have been corrected.
I think fans of Ipswich and Norwich felt the same.
Apparently the Forest County cup tie isn't on TV.
