Why would we want him

Odear is horrible

O'Dea is average. Won't help us improve and definately isn't good enough for premiership.

As for Smith, this assumes we wanted him. Which I wound't. Secondly, Newcastle would only expect us to pay £2500, which they woundn't. You can guarantee we would have had to pay considerably more to his wages.

We have not even been in for smith,it is media always linking us with smith and nearly every fan down on match day don't want him back, not because he joined them but he is just not good enough to make a difference in championship.we need players to improve 1st 11 not the bench.keep him well away from leeds and their is a very good reason why no championship club is interested at £2500 per week, that is only £500 more than donny pay their players and they are not even interested.

What's the big deal regarding smith??? He isn't the type of player we need nor should want!!

posted on 29/1/12

Other than the usual lazy journalists stating the obvious we weren't seriously linked with him.

I wouldn't want him anyway.....he won't be the same player we let go of...

I wish people would stop going on about alan smith not coming to leeds, the lad is passed it he has not played for how long now?, even newcastle dont want him they would rather send him to a league one team to get some playing time he will probably finish his playing days in league one

It's funny how he said he's not about just picking up a wage, if that was indeed the case he would sign a permanent deal with MK Dons and forgo his 60k a week!
