Obsession

Talk about obsession, chanting about Oxford at your bigday out in Leicester, can't help your envious self

Constable, constable, constable!

Swindon looked a decent side and can consider themselves a little unlucky. The early goal could ahve knocked the stuffing out of them but they went on to dominate the first half and play the better football.

It took a couple of decent Smeichel saves and a Konchesky challenge to prevent Swindon scoring.

Leicester probably commanded the second half after Beckford's second and looked fairly comfortable from then on, but it was far from an easy game.

Great following from the Swindon fans and made up for the fairly apathetic approach of the Leicester crowd.

A decent comment For Fox. Much more lucid than pepper, who just wants to stir up trouble. I am on this site because I want to discuss football. Not to engage with guys who want to satisfy their own egos.
I agree with your assessment, but we really didn't look like scoring. That is our problem. Town's midfield was as good as Leics, maybe better. But, you have to stick the ball in the net. Halfway through the season & we still don't have a settled strike force. For me, I'd stick with Connell & Benson. They might not have been able to penetrate Leicester yesterday, but we don't have to play against championship defences every week.
A lot of maybes. If Flint had been playing.....?,
All in all, no complaints from me. We lost & I don't think anyone has blamed that tackle for it. I'd have made that tackle myself when I was playing Sunday League & wouldn't expected anything but a free kick.

Really enjoyed the day out yesterday, we parked in Filbert street and Walked down Lineker street and across to the Counting house. Decided to give the queuing at the bar for a pint a miss and went across to Morrisons and got a few cans. Both sets of fans were having a drink and a chat together which was great. Really liked your stadium and your club shop was impressive. After the worst possible start we managed to get back into the game and was causing Leicester plenty of problems by doing what we do best, taking the game to the opponents by playing quick attacking football. Shame we couldn't maintain the pressure in the second half although we wasted a few shots. I liked the way Leicester kept men out wide and really stretched us, something we tend to do in our league games this season. At one nil we still had a chance of getting back it to it but the second goal was always going to be enough to win the tie. I enjoyed watching some quality football being played by both sides which made it better to watch than our average game this season, a lot of second division sides still play hoofball and park the bus which isn't always easy to break down. Our support this season has been superb and another good turn out yesterday made even more enjoyable by really good stewarding. Not the best of draws for the foxes away to Norwich in the next round but I genuinely wish you all the best. Hanks for having us and making us feel welcome.
Notts.

Pepper, bit over the top isn't it? You beat Swindon from the forth division not Liverpool. Not sure why you are so obsessed with what we were singing ? Shame really because before and after the game we have been having some good sensible comments from both sides.
All the best for the 5 th round and for what it's worth hope you get your promotion this season.

I went to the Counting House! Waited 40 minutes to get a beer! But did watch the footie on the TV.
But, when I took my beer outside to have a smoke, I now have learnt that in future, the Morrisons option is the better one!

Posted this on the other thread but oh well have it again:

Fair play Swindon. You gave us a good game. And the support you bought makes a mockery out of most Championship fanbases. There must have been 20 coaches rolling in!

I loved the bit where Swindon fans were singing something like "we are Paulos red and white army" and we were replying with "we are Pearson blue and white army". That went back and forth for ages! Great atmosphere!

Cheers shot, I too prefer it when opposing teams fans make some noise, it always makes it a better atmosphere. Thought your stadium helped with that too.gollum the police outside the counting house were from both swindon and leicester and were great and even joined in with the banter! Big game tomorrow v southend and with flint and looks like ferry out its going to be tough so a point away will keep us on track.

Take it light-heartedly some people, jeez. Some people try to pinpoint stupid things such as redgollum over there, obviously it being a big day out and all that is a laugh but some people take it too seriously

Wouldn't have to pin point stupid things, if they weren't written in the first place.

Pepper, no harm done. With the lack of posters in general we can't afford to go falling out.) in truth you probably done us a favour as a long trip to norwich with only one probably outcome would of no doubt affected our league position due to games in hand and not in the bag. Hope leicester go on to get promotion this season.
