Zaha to Bolton?

Owen Coyle has said he wants to sign Zaha in this window for £5m.

I wonder what happened to the £10m bids from Liverpool and Utd?

If someone offered £10m then I would drive him up there myself! But think we could get more than £5m considering the statements from the club that we are "not a selling club".

Firstly, I'm not his biggest fan so I'm going to be more for him going.

If we were to sell him now based on his performances this season then £5m seems a decent offer but he's just signed a new 5 year contract and he's becoming a fans favourite so based on his potential value it would be more like £10m. He's a lot like when Nani came over to England that they have all the tricks and can beat players but then give the ball away. If someone can tell him to keep the ball and lure players to foul him or make more runs towards the goal it would be better.

To be fair I don't think he will go but for £5m should be a good buy.

Seconded, neither am I, infact I think he's a liability.

It's great having all the skills in the world, but thats not what it's all about, it's all about what you do with those skills, and one skill he has not mastered is the skill of not giving the ball away.
Also someone needs to tell him that refs have sussed out the falling over when you lose the ball scam.

If there is any truth in it, I would think £5 million is some way over price.
I am a fan of his though and want him to stay but that's good money for where he is in terms of development right now.
Better for him to stay put for a while and improve his all round game methinks.

If Zaha, Clyne, etc play tomorrow at least we will know that they are staying. Even though I'm not a fan of him I do think he has potential to be a very good player and wouldn't want us to get ripped off

To me £5m would be a good deal for what he is at the moment but judged on potential and how much he has improved this season then £10m would be closer to the mark. Having said that with Cadogan, Scannell and Joniesta waiting in the wings (excuse the pun) the £7.5m would be money in the bank and would keep the club on an even keel for a couple of years or so. Why would we give him a 5 year deal if we didn't want to keep him though?

Ps see you all in the Holmesdale upper tomorrow night and enjoy the game (and hopefully a neutral ref).

I see they've now offered £7m. I would take the risk and accept that.

I know as soon as we get a little money everyone demands new players but I would rather see the owners invest the money back into the club. I see the seaweed are planning a £22m state of the art training centre (which seems a waste with their below average players) but that's something which should have a long term effect rather than giving it to other clubs.

I'll be in the Lower Holmesdale and meeting my friend in the Glaziers before. If anyone wants to say hi I'll be the good looking one!

I expect the owners to stick to their guns and the £10m they will want after he recently signed a new deal.

I think also they have seen the effect of losing entertaining players on attendance figures over the years, look how they dropped when Vicmo left...

This may be old news but Parish has posted that Wilf and Nat are going nowhere. Just what i've heard.
