Woman's high level of tennis has dropped off years ago, while the men's game just gets better and better. Something needs to be done and quickly for the woman's game, as it has become third rate along side the men game and changing to best of five sets at the four majors is the way to go in my opinion.
Now i'm not sure if it should be from round one, as the quality just is not there in the woman's game, so maybe have the woman's semi final and final changed to best of five sets. In a blink of an eye and the final is over, while the men's tennis tires you out just watching it unfold in front of you.
Equal pay is her to stay, so at least lets get value for money in the woman's game and get the sense of excitement and thrills back into the game, before it dies a death.
Here is some interesting stats from this years Aussie Open.
Novak Djokovic was on the tennis court for his semi final and final for an incredible 10 hours and 43 minutes.
Victoria Azarenka was only on court for 10 hours and 24 minutes for all her seven matches on route to winning the Aussie Open woman's single championship.
Let's get the woman playing best of five sets now

Women only want equality when it suits them.

I am delighted that Azarenka won as she will be a no.1 who has won a Slam unlike Wozniacki who needs products to prevent her from getting bald.

To see both Djokovic and Nadal at the end of their epic final today struggling to stand upright, while listening to the sponsors boring us half to death before picking up their trophies was incredible.
Djokovic massaging his legs trying to stop his legs from seizing up and Nadal sitting the net, just to keep himself upright and then both given a chair to sit down on.
Now that's what you call giving your all and emptying your tank and running on fumes. Then you see the girls and when they hardly seem out of breath and have gotten a sweat on, then you know they need to revamp woman's tennis.

Women's tennis just needs some new consistent champions so rivalries can be formed like in the men's game. Hell, just 1 would be a start.
Having 3 sets never stopped the era of Nav and Evert, or Graf and Seles, from being interesting. Increasing to 5 might be a start but the main issue here is the quality of the players. The players at the top are weak pretenders who never properly establish themselves as true greats.

Having all these robotic eastern European tennis players doesn't help either. There are very few instinctive woman players on the tour now. You have to play only one way, with no feel for the ball and never come to the net, unless it is the last and i mean the last resort.
You have Francesca Schiavone who is a joy to watch and that's about it apart from Kim Clijsters.
Then there was Justin Henin, who was the only player to cause the William sisters to break out in a cold sweat at night time, with just the though of playing such a talented tennis player, with an arsenal of tennis shots to neutralise their power game.
This has gone from the woman's game and the ability to think for themselves on court to, as the mental strength is shocking weak.

Not many places of work in the world where women would get the same pay as men for doing less work.
They are getting payed the same as men now so they should be playing 5 sets.
Its a joke that Djoker played two 5 hours games against Murray & Nadal compared to the womans champ who barely played 90mins for each game.
