Clark Erricson

So i'm sitting watching the game and at the first penalty the commentator says that Darren Dods had his arms all around Rogne. I'm like, er no its actually Clark Erricson according to the back of his shirt ya numpty!

Then they declare Higginbotham as man of the match. I see his shirt and am like, er no its Clark.......oh wait!

So my question is, who or what is Clark Erricson? And why do the Falkirk players have it all over their strips instead of their names?

Haha i'm an idiot I know but remember ive been over in the US for 10 years now!

Hail hail

I did the exact same thing when they played us at Tannadice

I was telling my old man "that boy Clark Ericcson has been good the day". Then later on "I thought the boy Ericcson was playing at the back...what's he doing up front".

Then the penny dropped.

It always strikes me as weird that in football when you REALLY NEED the names on shirts (internationals as about 85million have been capped now and teams outside top flights of club football) you don't get them...

BUT

Celtic v Rangers or Liverpool v Manchester United where you know every player pretty much you ALWAYS get the names.

I think you get this kind of thing in the French leagues, where there is a sponsors name on the back as well. South America is full of it too.

Names on the back are up to the league and the SFL doesn't require shirt names.

Thanks for clearing that up Ivan. Just watching the Milan v Calgarhi game right now and the only way I would be able to recognize some of the players is by the names on their shirts! Seems kind of silly to me and I think it should be mandatory to have your name on the back nut the hell do I know!
