Bostock has joined Shef wed on loan
has there been a more disappointing signing that this guy
All the talk from Palace about him being a future England captain etc seem to of been miles off the mark
be interesting to see how he gets on, think its last chance salon for him

Well, Livermore should be inspiration for him.
No Spurs kid has been shunted from pillar to post more than that boy.

Keane was on the slide in the second half of 07-08 season with us and 20 million was a steal with Berbs we made 50 million that summer and spent on this lot:
Frazier Campbell Manchester United Sep-08 loan 2008/09
Vedran Corluka Manchester City Sep-08 £8,500,000
Roman Pavlyuchenko Spartak Moscow Aug-08 £14,000,000
Cesar Sanchez Real Zaragoza Aug-08 Undisclosed
David Bentley Blackburn Rovers Jul-08 £15,000,000
John Bostock Crystal Palace Jul-08 £700,000
Heurelho Gomes PSV Eindhoven Jun-08 £9,000,000
Giovani dos Santos Barcelona Jun-08 £4,700,000
Despite the recent rewriting of history about Damien Commoli, he and Ramos naused it up big time that summer...

No Modric in that list.
And we have had some (if not great) ROI from Pav/Corluka/Gomes.

Didn't include Modders RDBD as he came in earlier, April If I recall..
On balance Pav and Gomes have cost us more (on the pitch) then they have ever given imo. Charlie is solid tbf, but 8.5 million was excessive ( not as bad as Hutton in Jan 08 though)..
Ironic thing is we could have signed Friedel on a free in 2008 from Blackburn...

The transfer listings over the ENIC reign do not make for pleasant reading. But there has been a core of players who have endured, and have been key in giving us top 5 stability over the past 6+ yrs. And Levy over the past 3 yrs has been purging the club of the final remnants of those mistakes.
