The only senior players Wenger actually signed from other English clubs are Sol Campbell from 'mighty' Spurs, and one Francis Jeffers if am not wrong. Otherwise Wenger won't sign English or English based players for fear of upsetting his players IMO i might be wrong on that as well.
But, for no apparent reasons, we seem to ignore the likes of Cahill (better than Djourou), N'zogbia, Tiote, Samba, Kevin Davies (better than Chamakh), Valencia (now flying with United and our tormenter in chief last weekend), Ashley Young (United and was available), Gareth Barry (Wenger half-hearted interest now flying at City), Lampard, Carrick, while at West Ham and Jermaine Defoe a closet gooner before Spurs pounced and took him.
Now those two players I mentioned earlier can add more than Arshavin or Walcott could ever dream of and will improve us, what do you say punters?

Chamberlain can have one of the wing spots for the next 15 years, he's that good.
But on the other side of the pitch, Gervinho and Walcott both aren't convincing. One lacks a brain whilst the other lacks technique and end product.

I'd definitely take Hoillet, the thought of him, Gervinho, Walcott, Chamberlain rotating with 2 on the bench would make us so much stronger.
