Driving past the City Ground

Was driving past the city ground earlier and I saw a load of season tickets nailed to the gate.......... I thought I'll have them..... can never have too many nails

It's based on a true story.
Well...
the driving bit was true...
though I wasn't anywhere near the city ground.

I've driven some right nails in the past....................................

I also remember and this actually happend! season tickets being flung from the mainstand and landing around the great man himself. Something todo with selling Trevor Francis [achillies heel] selling Tony Woodcock to Hamberg, Viv [Spyder] Anderson-Arsenal. Then thoughtfully purchasing the collosal nonentity that was Justin Fashanu [on the strength of one and only one, wonder gaol] . Peter Taylor making a public statement to the effect that [after selling Trevor Francis to Man City?], 'We're not afraid of spending a million pounds again' thundered the sports pages. What he should have said is" we are going to spend several millions of pounds and waste all of it on very average and forgetable footballers. The point ? the cockups started years ago.

Let's hope Lascells and Bamford get picked tomorrow.
SC HAS BEEN SHARP PICKING UP THE fRENCHMAN FROM WOLVES. BACK THE TEAM AND THE MANAGER AT LEAST UNTIL THE END OF SATURDAYS GAME.

Anyroad I shall be there tomorrow night cheering the lads on, unlike some of the miserable bleeders on here.

No Red, the name bear comes about from a Brown Teddy Bear that my daughter bought for me!
