Kevin davies bid rejected

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has confirmed that he had a bid for Bolton striker Kevin Davies rejected.
i'm happy to hear this. i dont think we should let go of super kev just yet. he can still do a good job for us comeing off the bench. he proved this on saturday.

You only let him go if you have a replacement and I doubt that

If the report in the Bolton News is to be beleived, a bid of 25,000 was never going to be accepted. Let's see if a bid of say 1.5 to 2 million is rejected.

Personally I don't want him to go but what will Gartside say, will he want to sell at that kind of money?

k.davies, a great player for bwfc but to be offering him a new contract CRAZY if thats the case we have another BLAKE when we could have a younger player with a future on those wages.no wonder we have a large debt,on a coaching roll yes on a player contract no.

Best of both worlds, player-coach.

What makes people think he'd be a good coach?

O'Neill likes his big target men.
