Ricardo Vaz Te

Revised bid accepted from West Ham. Will discuss personal terms and confirm move later today. Balls. I thought we were meant to strengthen the squad? Pretty disastrous January window in my opinion. Hope to God he's got someone lined up

he cost nothing and would probibly leave for nothing at the end of the season so well done hill for making a profit

Depends which way you look at it. Reinforces the suggestion that this year is about survival, nothing more. Can see why we've sold, just frustrating that we've developed drinkwater and vaz te and they've just been nicked...wonder how much we got for him?

I'm divided on this one. On the one hand, we've got a fee, probably sizeable, which could be used to recruit some half-decent players. On the other, we've just lost our main goal threat and showed a lack of ambition (although I'm sure Hillcroft did everything to persuade him to stay...) So much for building a quality squad...

The most disappointing thing is that we've sold him on deadline day, making it virtually impossible to find a replacement.

However, I still trust Hillcroft to make the right decisions...for now.

Can understand both sides of the debate. But fans expectations will probably be reset now, initially at least. Who knows, could all change again by tomorrow morning. Maybe a card or two up his sleeve.
