Good article on STV today around the SPL transfers over the past 6 years and who has spent and received what.
It shows some very interesting points:
1. The myth that Rangers have had no money over the past few years is well and truly obliterated with this article.Their nett spend was £13m more than Celtic.
2. The balance of the books at Celtic is staggering. Our nett spend over the same period is £177k with over £33m spent on transfers. That's outstanding...
3. Hibs have generated £14m in transfer fees and still remain in debt.
4.Hearts are the biggest spenders outside of the big two but after 2 years of spending little money has been forthcoming from the owner.
Its worth a read...

how long do you suspect your board will maintain 30m + wage bills under those circumstances?
----------
If we keep at break even or even slight profit and continue to generate funds for players through trading I dont see any massive change to the way the model works.
We have less than £1m in debt and as a club we are run fairly prudently. Clearly anything we get from Europe is a bonus but is certainly not factored into the plan.
So how long can we run like this - for the forthcoming few years for sure, depending of course on your survival...

should we still exist as an entity this time next year I suspect it will be around the 5 -10m mark
---------
If you look at the pages you highlighted above at 2007 and 2008 that was the wage bill at Celtic when rangers was around the £30m mark....
Interesting times ahead if you go back to there...Wayne Biggins and Carl Muggleton are free I hear

But you WERE the people...
We'll welcome whatever storm brews fae the Siouxside. Like before, we'll have our bad days but, in the end, we'll still be the biggest club in Scotland.
I know that will rankle with SOME of your fans
