Well, on the surface...its been a pretty boring window for the Whites.
But the amount of players weve openly gone for and failed to land is a rather large and distressing list.
Filled with young and talented players, weve tried to spent the money recieved from the out going Cahill, but every club weve approached seem reluctant to sell or the player doesnt fancy a move to a perishing North-West for a team battling relegation.
The players weve failed to sign so far include:
Hoilett - Blackburn refused to sell.
Dos Santos - Spurs over pricing and GDS waiting for move to Spain.
Zaha - CPFC not wanting to sell
Phillips - Blackpool not wanting to sell
Itrube - Porto wanting to loan out, but the coach making them cancel hours before appeal at Permit panel.
Le Toux - Had a look but decided against it after a 7 day trial.
Weve been unable to agree fees with clubs for their players. Not for the want of trying, but weve been unseuccesful in trying to bring their players parent clubs individual evaluations of their players. Cannot fault BWFC for effort, they have identified many targets and tried tremendously to get their men. But if the parent club does not want to sell, or values them too high...its not going to be completed.
BWFC have so far failed in their attempts to bolster the wings, its clear thats the thinest and weakest area, but with pacey wingers being such an important part of the modern game, clubs are clearly reluctant to sell...especially in the cases of Zaha and Phillips, when they are young and destined for an exciting future.
Weve managed to sign Tim Ream, who Coyle claimed was not a direct replacement for Cahill. Claiming we would have signed him regardless of Gary situtation as he rates him so highly. Described as a composed cnetre back who likes to play the ball about..it seems like a Cahill clone to me. With Ream having fitness and pace levels which are higher than Sturridge, its clear weve signed someone with pace who will partner Wheater or Knight. The lack of pace between the two made evident on a few occasions this season.
Miyachi from Arsenal is all but confirmed today. A young exciting player, there has been alot of hype surrounding him this season. His performances whilst on loan at Feyenoord last season, which saw 12 appearences, 3 goals aswell as atleast 3 assists, garnered much praise for the young winger who was dubbed by the Dutch media as 'Ryodinho' and the Japanese Messi. Hopefully his guy will be more Sturridge and Wilshere rather than Kakuta and Boyata.
There are 11 hours left...hopefully we can sign someone else...as we have £5m wasting away in our bank account. Thats considerably more than the £125k that was in it in December...Lets see what happens!
Transfer Window.

Zamora is clearly cash-grabbing.
QPR's wage bill is now unbelievable. Tony Fernades, the idiot, will be shipping money like crazy now, and that's if they stay up.
If they go down...ha, I'd laugh so hard.
Barton, SWP, Cisse, Zamora, Onoha. These lot are probably earning more than our top paid, by quite a stretch.
Plus what they are paying Hughes, plus what they are paying Warnock to do his gardening.
I hope they go bankrupt. Idiots.

Zamora is on 90K a week! I would also like to point out, since at Fulham, he has never scored more then 8 in a PL season. All his good form was in Europe. 90K a week for a single digit striker, feck off.

/\
That is the contract being offered at QPR, not his current one.

And how will TF pay for this?
Ticket prices.
Even though he is a billionaire (?)

Also,
That means those 5 I mentioned are probably earning more than our entire playing staff.

"Been a good hour for Bolton after all. Not naming the guy until it's done. But bid in and player wants to come. Yip-feckin-pee."
Nixon on Twitter, 10 mins ago. Apparently the bid is £3m, and he's an attacking player.
