Hi guys,
personally I would be inspired if I wore the number 7 shirt when playing. It has so much significance and would give me a lot of pride when going out there and competing.I don't know if it makes any difference to a professional but I would like to know your personal opinions on the issue...does a particular shirt number have special significance to you?..Does it inspire you when you play in that number?
Psychology behind the number?

It's just a number

I guess there are some famous numbers at clubs that would give you pride in wearing it.
Newcastle's number 9
United's 7
Didn't West Ham retire Bobby Moore's number?
I guess it would mean more to a player who grew up supporting the club. Shearer wearing Milburn and Macdonald's number for example

Considering some of the names who have worn number 7 in the past it would be a great honour.

It's only been worn by average players really like Willie Morgan, Robbo Cantona Kanchelskis Best Ronaldo Becks Coppel
Can't be that special

I always liked to wear 14 as a centre back and then tell the striker I was tightly marking that I wore 14 because it was my willy size in inches, before looking deep in his eyes.
That's my kind of psychology.

I used to wear number 10 but play centre back and it did inspire me to try and play the Lothar Mattaheus sweeper role and drive forward and have pot shots at goal which drove my manager crazy.
