Nelson's signal to his fleet "England expects every man to do his duty."
I wonder if they've got it in them.

You're not old enough to remember that long ago. I bet you were screaming for mummy not so long ago.
What's your favorite song? I bet it's 'The crying game'.

Oh dear, Rabbit once again demostrating his ignorance of all things cricket.
The series margin does matter. If England lose this series 3-0 it is possible for the Saffers to overtake England if they whitewash the Kiwi's. If England only lose 2-1 they will hang on a bit longer... though admittedly not much longer with series against Sri Lanka and India to come ... unless they re-discover how to play spin.
IMHO we are reaping the 'rewards' of the changes made to the conditions of play for the County Championship in England over the last 20 years, which have all had the impact of making life more difficult for bowlers and easier for batsman.
The result, a generation of bowlers that are as good as anything out there, to the extent that our 'reserve' pace bowlers would probably be opening the bowling for anyone else but South Africa, but a generation of batsmen who fall to pieces when asked to play outside their mollycoddled english conditions.
I'm afraid this will be a recurrent theme until the balance between bat & ball is restored in our domestic game.

Bigboy, I don't suppose the poor form of the opposition over the last couple of years would have anything to do with it....some getting older some re-building....something like that....
Nar!! I wouldn't think so.....

Rabbit when did Oz rebuild your team. Ponting, Clarke, Hussey, Haddin, Siddle, Hilfenhaus, Harris and Watson when fit, are still there.
Keep Cowan, Warner and Lyon with that lot for the next ashes please.

Congrats hope , you've managed to denigrate the entire royal navy fleet by equating them to a game of stick and egg !
