Timinator
He did not say we were 42 mil in debt.,...he asked the question.....Does this mean we are 42 mil in debt..?
Johnston doesn't know how CW has financed the club. All of the negotiations were conducted by MIH....and Whyte....not the Rangers Board....( which Johnston also said )

OK, I've heard the interview now.

If there's an HMRC investigation into the takeover we'll see how it goes. As Johnston says, it was Murray International people who handled the takeover deal so he basically knows nothing about it.

"said how rangers have used ticitus for years, usually being credited for no more than £5mill, but whyte mortgaged the season tickets for the next few years and took the £24million out straight away when he took over as chairman."

I didn't hear Johnston say anything about Whyte "taking the £24 million out straight away". Did Ticketus really give Whyte £24 million before he even owned the club? In any case my view is Whyte has been using the money to run the club.

Will there be more "revelations"? Again, we'll see.

Johnston left the club some time ago. I doubt he knows everything that's going on.

got sent this by email a good read and very well put by a bear not with his head in the sand

On the very day Fred Goodwin loses his knighthood, Craig Whyte loses his credibility.

Don't let him fool you, don't believe the everybody is out to get me stories.

Once again he is forced to issue a statement, not volunteered, forced again by events to deny something he was not going to tell us, the raising of capital on 4 future seasons ticket sales.

He has raised £24 million pounds from the deal, to do what? Today he has sold Jelavic ( and our league hopes) for less than what was offered last season.

Where is this money, Craig, our money? It's not been invested in the squad, so far its 7 player out and one in.

How is the club going to be run in future seasons, now we have hawked the family silver?

There are no players left now who can command a large transfer fee.

Oh, and there is the tax case to come, that was the one you predicted we would win.

I would'nt believe you if you told me that February follows January.

Go now, Mr Whyte

For the good of our club.
