And while I'm on it, who do you reckon will be the first local council/police force to make their local team play in Hi-vis vests and hard hats .

Bradford, we used to have a bright orange away kit didn't we?? Would that do as a high-vis alternative?
As for head injuries, who cares? There is usually not much up there with the average footballer anyway! Having said that maybe they should get the fans at the pigsty to wear hard hats with the hoof ball they play!!
Us Owls fans could just wear ours to protect us while we beat our heads against a brick wall!!

I find it very embarrassing when we cam barely muster 30,000 for a Sheffield derby.

Exactly, its not the council or the Police's fault. If the game was 3pm on a Saturday and not on Sky then we would still be nowhere near selling out Hillsborough. It is extremely embarassing.
Moving a game to a Sunday morning should help to increase the attendance (if not on Sky), because more people work Saturday afternoons than Sunday's, surely? They won't both be on the box anyway I wouldn't have thought.

Boxing Day 1979 was my first derby game and I remember the incredible build up for weeks and then the fantastic day itself. Nearly 50,000 turned up, a record for the third tier that will never be beaten.
After that most of the derbies sold out but now they never seem to get near capacity. Why is that? Are we so disillusioned with our teams or as there have been a number of seasons with derbies have we just got used to them?
The boxing Day Massacre was the first derby in almost ten years, we haven't had a gap between them of any note for a while now, so I think it is complacency, we are used to them. I hope to see both grounds full this year and some pride come back to Sheffield football.

If theres going to be any trouble at derby matches it doesnt matter what day or time kick off is.At least if its on a sunday our overworked boys in blue can get a bit of overtime in,or am i just being cynical.

Personally I hope it isn't a sell out at bramall lane, because that would mean us having the top and bottom in the away end and I don't want to fill that upper tier for them after all that's happened lately. The last few times they wouldn't let us have it, this time they Will be begging us to fill it, but I say no. The last few times they have claimed to need those seats , well I say crack on and fill em blunts.
