...are we going to dominate a game only to get screwed over by luck?
We are playing well, but still no clean sheet and evidently can't score to save our lives... only one way from here...
How many times...

We concede >2 goals per game so have to score 3 a game to get a point (generally speaking). Just to put that into context, City average < 3 per game.
But don't worry, let's take the positives...

When you dominate a game like we did last night but fail to take any of your chances, you get what you deserve.
The fact that the likes of Swansea and Norwich are sitting comfortably in mid table shows how weak the premier league is this season (and that Newcastle are 5th). The fact that we're doing so poorly just shows what a mess Kean and Venkys have made of it all.

Now Now chaps Including ALL our matches this season (including Friendlies) we have kept 2 Clean sheets:
Against both "Kitchee SC" and "Pune FC"
(although we didn't manage it against Accrington nor Morecambe )
If you never concede, you're almost guaranteed to stay up, Its dull and its boring but I'll take it! (Guarantees 1point per game = 38 per season = Usually survival)

OK i can go along with some cases of bad luck,,but i dont accept bad luck in a defeat,,no way,,last night was simply,we are NOT good enough to put to the sword a very very weak Newcastle team,,i have in the past looked at games like Everton,Norwich and a couple of other games were we had the game sort of minked from us,,i have changed my mind after last night and i am not prepared to accept bad luck as an excuse for losing a game,,lets face it we flatter to decieve and have done that all season,we cant hold onto anything the Rochina for Dunn sub was 15 mins too late last night and that is the difference Newcastle had a weakish team out last night,,but they did have a tactically aware manager who changed the game in the second half,,sadly we do not have that kind of manager.

Thought we didn't play too badly yesterday until it came to putting the ball in the net, which I'm afraid is how you win games.
We missed a penalty, Dann I thought would have scored from that FK in the 2nd half, and Modeste missed a couple that I think Yak would have put away, plus many others. But if you don't take your chances, your going to lose and we got what we deserved in fairness in the end. When I saw the Newcastle line-up, I thought that this way definetly a winnable game, but again we slipped up. Relegation seems certain if we can't at least get something against the team that they put out, especially at home!
Also I agree with others, sure Modeste had a few good touches, but when we have a striker who has just scored in the last few games in Goodwille (like with Kalinic previously too) why does Kean drop them to the bench? I just can't fathom an answer to it. Arsenal next, at least we are playing a team we have actually beaten this season, let's hope we can pull it out the bag again.
