Portsmouth could go back into administration and be docked 10 or even 15 points different chat sites give different numbers or even go out of business all together they have been served with yet another winding up order so there are only 3 solutions apparently (1) Administration and the docking of points (2) A White Knight to pay off their bills (3) The Club goes bust and is removed from the league and all of their results are removed from the league for this season.
If it is going to be option 1 then the sooner the better from the clubs point of view it will give them chance to get a few results together and escape the relegation places. Option 2 again the sooner the better as if they enter administration before a buyer arrives then they still lose the points. If howeve it is the third option (God Forbid noone wants a club to fold) what would that mean for the Championship this season.
Well the first thing is probably there would only be 2 teams relegated this season and an extra team would be promoted from div 2 to div 1 and another club would join div 2 from non league.
However what would the table look like if all results to date had the Ports mouth results removed.
Played - Points - GD
Southampton 27 - 50 - 20

Burnley 27 - 43 - 9
Hull 27 - 43 - 2
Leeds 27 - 39 - 1
Brighton 27 - 39 - 0
Barnsley 27 - 39 - -1

Leicester 26 - 37 - 6
C.P. 27 - 37 - -1
P'Boro 26 - 30 - 0
Watford 26 - 30 - -9

Ipswich 27 - 28 - -13
Millwall 27 - 26 - -11
D'caster 27 - 24 - -20
N.F 27 - 24 - -21
Coventry 27 - 22 - -13
The big losers would be West Ham as they beat Portsmouth Home and away Cardiff as they took 4 points from them however Birmingham climb the table by virtue of not having played Portsmouth so far this season. I hope it gets sorted soon as I can imagine people tearing their hair out trying to work out league table both with Portsmouth as they are with a points deduction and with results expunged I don't really know what will happen as if they are excluded and bought up will there be a legal challenge to their exclusion so what would happen to matches that should have been played in the mean time the whole thing could turn out to be a real can of worms.

Just been reading comments on 4-4-2 and even the Portsmouth players seem to think Pompey could be out of business after this week bad news for football in general if this happens.
