Hi guys, took a little break away from here as I felt I was getting annoying for too many people as I genuinely saw no way out of the run of form we were in. What can I say? I'm delighted to be able to come back in a much more positive mood.
Firstly yesterday, after expecting yet another disappointing deadline day as usual for Bolton I was really impressed as to how it turned out in the end. Miyaichi is an unknown quantity yes, but all I'm hearing about him is that he is faster and more skillful than Walcott and can actually cross. And to those of you with doubts as to why he's not getting in Arsenal's team, you saw tonight that that makes no difference as Wenger thinks Theo Walcott is good enough to play Premiership football so his opinion on wingers is the last to matter. And in Sordell we have an exciting prospect and finally a striker with pace that we actually own! Another unknown quantity but if he can do half the job that Studge did last season then it will be a fantastic signing.
So all in all a good window and we headed into another tough fixture. And I found myself for the first time in years fancying that we could do over one of the big boys. 30 minutes in though and I was already wondering what I was thinking. We were off the pace, there was minimal efforts defensive-wise and as for attacking, well, there wasn't any. We finished the half a bit stronger though and going in 0-0 was probably undeserved but absolutely crucial.
We came out after half time and again looked too slow and chasing the game for the first 5 minutes and I was thinking we had no chance. But the change after that was brilliant and we saw the Bolton that turned Liverpool over and brushed aside an over-confident Swansea team. We were absolutely fantastic! The defence tightened up meaning van Persie, Chamberlain (who looks like an immense prospect by the way) and Walcott disappeared from the game and you could barely notice Henry had come on. The 3 centre mids (who had played quite well in the first half actually) controlled the game with Mavies giving their defence more to deal with and Reo-Coker popping up seemingly everywhere and was my man of the match. Nige was closely followed by both full backs who kept 2 of the paciest players in the game feeding off scraps and I know it's only a trivial thing but I love how they make sure to go round to applaud all of the supporters together and epitomise the meaning of club men here for the fight.
My only complaints for the night (let's be honest, a Mr. T article wouldn't be complete without a little bit of negativity) were the wingers and N'Gog. Petrov has been playing the best he's ever been for us recently but tonight I just didn't see that, maybe just a off night for him. But in Eagles and N'Gog, in my opinion anyway, we have our 2 worst players. Eagles is far too one-footed yet still turns onto his left foot at every opportunity and his effort levels tonight were very low. And we must be the only team in existence who's wingers turn around as soon as they meet an opponent, they never take anyone on! Why is this? Now with N'Gog, the standing ovation he received when he went off would suggest I'm in the minority here but the guy is just a worse version of Elmander IMO. I thought he had a good game against Liverpool but the guy was awful tonight. He spends far too much time on one wing or offside when we are defending for a lone man up front and his finishing is atrocious. The header he missed at the end was an absolute sitter and he ended up turning it into a fantastic clearance for Arsenal. I'd love to hear your guys' views on him though because, as I said, I think I'm in the minority and I want to know why.
Saying that then I would love to see us swap Eagles for Miyaichi for Norwich and then give Sordell at least half an hour to begin with. Mentions too by the way need to go out to Tuncay and SKD who I thought were epic when they came on (Pratley for Reo-Coker was an absolute shocker from Owen but I'll let him off as 2 out of 3 isn't bad).
But for now, I'll sign off a very happy Wanderer. Owen, you've proved me wrong and long may it continue, I've not felt this positive for the future of our club for a long time, COYWM!
Thoughts of a more positive Wanderer...

Don't know.
Maybe he is more annoyed with the ref for not taking the action that the challenge deserved.

ps, my points are aimed at the fans hypocritically praising Davies, not the Bolton players or fans who are not gleefully calling it "justice"...

It can be seen by some as a kind of justice seen as the ref, the Fa or your club took any sort of action. I personally don't but I can see why.

Fans are fans and they will always back their own and some will even look for 'justice' based on that old premise 'things have a habit of levelling themselves out over the season' thing that we have rammed down our throats.

If your idea of flirting with someone is telling them I think they are a 40 year old called Derek, then guilty as charged!
