A downpayment of 750 grand has been mentioned for Howson, and Grayson had a year and a half left on his contract, so the figures stack up.

Clive, don't tell me you're worried that we've lost Howson just to get rid of Grayson. I'd have thought You would think it cheap at twice the price. That way we could have gotten rid of Snodgrass or a couple of our most promising youngsters and have some change for the next manager to go into the emergency market with.

It's a major sacrifice and it shouldn't have come to that if it's true, but if Grayson wasn't going to use Howson properly anyway then a decent manager without Howson is better than Grayson with.

Well it was your idea that it may have happened, and I wouldn't be too surprised if there's more than a germ of truth in it. Grayson has gone and it looks like Warnock is our new manager. If he can get better results with the means at his disposal then fair play to him. If not, then it's back on the not so merry go round for us all. Hallef.uckinlujah.
