Just to get away from Grayson, Bates and Warnock for a bit.
What do people think about the scenes at yesterdays Egyptian games - 74 dead ....... All I'll say is that if it had been in this country we would have been banned from the world cup, the European champoionships, all euro tournaments and villified throughout sport thanks to Platini and Blatter.
We've seen problems on a regular basis in eastern europe, Turkey and all parts of Africa and the far east. Yet Blatter and his fraudulent minions within FIFA do nothing. hell we're even playing a world cup in the region soon and will probably change the dates so it can take place in the winter.

Entire board of Egyptian FA have been sacked and placed under investigation....

They have barley moved the dead and just about got the thousands of injured into hospital and all your worried about is that if it was in england, we'd have got banned from certain tournements..... Muppet!!!
I could understand your point in maybe 2/3 weeks after everything has clamed down and the full picture is known.......but as things stand, your point has no relevance here and now.

Terrible scenes. There are a lot of political and religious issues in Egypt at the moment and these troubles have much more to do with them than football. They have taken action locally by cancelling all premier league games so I don't see FIFA getting involved will help matters for anyone.

Despite the fact that as Pags just stated the whole Egyptian FA board have been sacked, this tragic incident is much wider than football, as anyone who knows anything about what has been happening over there in the past year would realise.

I would like to think the OP posted the article out of ignorance more than anything else. However a quick look at the news would have prevented them looking quite so stupid.

Tradegy is not the right word to use for this.

Is this article bringing to our attention a football related tragedy in which 74 people lost their lives ? Or are you just using peoples deaths as a vehicle to have a moan about FIFA ? You sound like a two bit politician.
In you're article, you express no sense of shock, sympathy or anything for that matter. In fact all you seem concerned about is the possibility that a foreigner might change the dates of the world cup in 2022 . If its the region of Qatar that you allude to in your article, as being in the same region as Egypt. Firstly they aint guaranteed to get the world cup and secondly , apart from the fact its got a sea between it and Egypt, it's over 1,300 miles away.
What gives you the right to use death as a vehicle to moan about your own trivial agenda ?

Doc ..... bet you regret this post now ....
I kinda get what you're saying, but have to agree with the others - bad timing. I've always thought FIFA/UEFA have different agendae depending on who's causing the problems - i just don't think whats happened in the last 24 or so hours is the vehicle to discuss it.
