Ryan Nelsen

Nice little article here about what Ryan Nelsen might bring to the team, and why Harry wanted him.

You wont need to wait long then Spurtle...FA CUP

Doovde has it spot on ...

Clearly our board is reluctant to spent when Harry's future is still unclear..HOWEVER to say a new manager will want to have his own players ans targets is wrong, what manager is going to come in and say they dont want someone like Damiao or Samba?

i actually think saha is a good signing. 3rd choice striker but without the negativity and sulkiness of pav.

he will love the service he gets at the lane compared to having absolutely none at everton.

i reckon if he gets a goal or two early on then he will be the saha of old.

Doovde.....................Let's not forget:

Blackburn cancelled his contract.

You have to ask yourself why...

Blackburn cancelled his contract because he was their highest paid player and they are in financial straits. Yes, he has not played much and I feel he has been brought in as short term cover for our back four. He is (when fit) a very good player).

As for Saha, again another short term cover signing. Top players fetch a premium in January and it therefore makes sense to wait until the summer.

Added to that is the uncertainty over HR's future, if he is found guilty and gets a prison sentence (not beyond realms of possibility) then it is likely the club would terminate his contract. If he is found innocent then that opens the door to the FA and the England job.

Levy is going to have better prospects of luring an acceptable replacement if he can promise them a reasonable war chest to buy with.

some of you are not applying common sense here....how many minutes playing time did Bassong have? and how many of you were supremely confident in his ability when on the pitch?

Harry knows what he's doing. He brought in 2 signings that won't upset the apple cart, and got rid of 2 players who continually moan about not playing.

--------------

fair point to a degree, but i WANT my teams players annoyed that they ain't playing....as long as its followed by....so i'm gonna get my head down and work....harder.......!!!

i just can't see the value in these 2 signings.....but hope 2 be proved wrong.....

+1.

I think Niko has shown much of the above to be fair.
Though once Euro 2012 is done, he might go again. Similarly for Defoe.
