Early thoughts on the team for Saturday....

Early days yet but I have a feeling there will be changes at least in defence after Tuesday...

Connolly back in place of Zac (who's time will come again) and either Bromby, Bruce or even AOB partnering Lees.

Was happy enough with the choice of midfield and strikers on Tuesday (if only Becchio could discover where the net was again!)

Any thoughts?

There'll be changes for sure i'd have thought.

Although they played well for parts of the game the other night, some of the players need to be rested. That was a bad result and it's time some of the players on more incomes were brought in to justify their salaries.

If he's back training and feeling up for it, then i'd agree about AOB partnering Lees. O'Dea just doesn't do it for me. I agree about Zac - he look shattered the other night, Connolly to replace.

I reckon you'd have a good mixture of experience and youth in the back 4 (if White keeps the LB position).

Midfield is hard to change for me. Just who do we have that improves on Clayton and Delph?

Upfront McCormack would keep his place and Becchio just needs a goal. I thought the rest of his play was good the other night - he just needs a break. If he can find his scoring touch again, then we can still achieve something this season.

Had forgotten about Adam Smith but will be interesting to see if he starts - I'd guess he would have if SG was still here, but with the clean slate Connolly has the opportunity to re-establish himself at right back and continue his partnership with Snoddy on the right.
