Ryan Nelsen's move to Spurs has been completed after 7 years at Blackburn Rovers.
Our Club Captain played more than 170 games in the famous blue and white halves and led his Country to South Africa in 2010.
A gentleman and a scholar (literally) is like to thank the admiral for his hard work, professionalism and for being an all round top bloke whilst at Rovers!
Having said all that, do not read below if you're a Venkys Delusional (VD sufferer):
Nelsen is fit to go straight into Spurs squad to face Liverpool on Monday. Why does a club that appear to be relegation certainties, without a clean sheet all season not feel Nelsen is good enough; yet title chasing Spurs do?
More penny saving or the fear that Nelsen will speak the truth on Rovers?
Thank You Admiral

Friedal, what a signing mate!! Can't believe how good he is still at 40. I would say he is still one of the prems best keepers even at his age, remarkable

"Friedal, what a signing mate!! "
Your not telling me the news Don. Great, great keeper. We used to say he was worth 15 points a season to the Rovers and he was first name on the team sheet for years. I can count on one hand the errors he made playing for us. Cute by Redknapp to get him.

Another Rovers legend dumped by Venkys like a worn out toy. Can just hope they do the same with the club sooner rather than later.
Thanks Admiral, a top player and a top man. Still got my 07/08 shirt with his name on the back, painful memory of happier times these days.

Its not the leaving that annoys it the fact we were led to believe he was injured- now assuming Spurs are not going to buy a 34 y.o. croc and that he appears ready to play either
a) the club were lying
b) Nelsen was conning the club and the fans.
I refuse to remotely entertain b) leaving us with another reduction in wages ready for the Championship.
Lets wait for Samba's new contract that will have various opt out clauses in Summer (thats if he ever sets foot in Ewood again).
It seems a bit strange that a club can cancel a contract to allow a transfer presumably just outside the window. I know we won't get any money unless we have a secret offshore account (Rover1875) but Tottenham wouldn't get involved in that sort of malarkey would they

just seen the Beeb 'story' that Samba will not be considered for the arsenal game.
Anyone care to explain why- I would rather start him in this game (likely defeat) and see if he gives 100% than play him against QPR that just happens to be a 100% must win game, and find out his head is still up in the clouds.
This Samba scenario is going to pan out in some weird way that no sane person could envisage. He might end up playing for Burnley!

Whats the story with Samba? He got a move blocked or something did he?
So what. He should still give 100% for the fans, it wont show well to other clubs if thats the case?

unfortunately messiah it is no good asking the fans because the club do not see fit to explain what is going on.
samba tried to force a move (and who would not given the situation) and was no doubt miffed. however the best way to get his move in 4 month (not that long really is it) is to knuckle down and keep putting in the performances.
unfortunately there is so much going on in the background that Scully and Mulder would struggle to find the truth

Why on earth would we get rid of one of our best defenders on a free if he was fit? I thought that he was on the verge of retiring then all of a sudden he is in the squad for the next game. This is more bs from Venkys they are complete t0ssers! Another reason to be annoyed this is a complete joke.

Very sad that the Admiral has gone good luck Ryan.
Anyone notice on the Rovers site that the article confirming that he had left didn't even thank him for his efforts and wish him luck for the future? Same for Roberts and Andrews, shows a complete lack of class and respect but that's the new regime for you.
