its probably fair to say its unlikely that JB can qualify ahead of the red bulls and LH today, so i was wondering if it would be a good idea to try a different tactic.
what about qualifying in Q3 on the hard tyre.....ok sounds crazy cos it would obviously mean starting in 10th place, but my thinking was it would free up the softs for later in the race on less fuel.
bearing in mind you cant use the drs system at the start, heavy on fuel so obviously slower, get the hards out of the way then play catch up and hopefully zoom ahead after the pit stops.

qualifying option 2 for JB

The only problem is that he would probably drop down to last in a few laps and even after changing for softs he would waste time having to pass everyone
The hards at 2 seconds slower would drop him right to the back

the thing is he could use them for about 8 laps and would be ok in my view
