Dunno what point in the game you're talking about, RWC, but the ground was reasonably full. Not 47,000, granted, but not much less (think 46,700 or thereabouts). We don't record our gate on sold tickets, it's done electronically from cards swiped on the turnstiles.

The ground started emptying after half time though, when the snow came down really hard a lot of people got concerned they'd not get home and left. I stayed till the end, but nearly ended up having to abandon the car and walk home.

The lads next to me come over Woodhead Pass every home game. I find it hard to criticise them going 5 mins early on a night like Saturday. Whilst at the same time listening to armchair heroes going on and on and on zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. There didn't look to be that many empty seats to me.
