David Goodwillie

This is a random rumour I have heard via a friend of a friend, so please don't shoot the messenger!

We apparently put in an offer for David Goodwillie of Dundee Utd which was rejected.

Like I said, not sure if it is true and it probaby is a load of balls but what would you all make of it if the signing happened?

I heard this on friday night, before this bbc article was written

Seems to be a big gamble would cost over £2million at least, I think they are hoping for around £3mill+, not very fast and around 5.9/ 5.10 ft might struggle with premier league defences but biggest worry would be his off field antics which has lead to more than one criminal conviction for violence and I think he is going to trial for a serious sexual assault. If I am wrong about this I apologise. But if convicted... !

If the accusations are proved he will be playing for the Barlinnie 11 for the forseeable future.

Or another Big Dunc

Now that would be something.

People point out his lack of pace, but is that all we want to see? Head down pace and no end product?

He's stolen my nickname!

I think he'd be worth it just for the shirt sales

He will never score two goals in an FA Cup final.

Unlike Mike Trebilcock.

As a regular DUFC fan who has also had a soft spot for the Toffees ever since Big Dunc earned legendary status at Goodison I can honestly say I havent heard of any rumours regarding Goodie in an Everton shirt although I would say if he is to be sold then DM get yer cheque book out !!!

Admittedly he isnt lightning quick but he makes up for it with his footballing brain, excellent touch and predatory ability within the box.

As for his trouble with the 'bizzies' I have no doubt it will end up going nowhere. Theres no way Utd would be playing him every week if he was soon to be fitted with a 'stripey suit'.
