Sadly,we haven't seen the best of him for quite some time now. He's been saying that he's feeling better now than he's felt for the last 10 years!
Do you think we will see the "old Gerrard" again? Having a fully fit, in-form Gerrard back will be like having a new player

I see where your coming from, and he is not getting any younger, but he is a great professional and if he feels he can come back stronger than before than i do not doubt it for a second. He is an English football icon, how an English player should be in every aspect, In Stevie we trust

I have full belief in him, I think kennys Arrival has really made him enthusiastic about lfc once again, Shame injuries prevented him from showing that last season

He hasn't played due to injury since 6th March, when ManU beat us 1 - 3 and Luis Suarez had a terrible game and Dirk Kuy didn't get a hat-trick, really. No, really. SteveieG in my view IS FLC. The rest will have hopefully done him a lot of good. He claims he is fitter, leaner etc., than before, and that can only be good. Danger on the horizon? Injuries. He simply can't afford any more, they take far longer to get better at his age. In the meantime, I wish our skipper well, and welcome him back to the squad and team. YNWA JimmyTheRed

In my opinion, he doesn't trust his body to do the business any more. If when he comes back this season, he feels confident that his groin or hamstring won't go again, he'll be as good as he was before. If not, then he'll coast through games and inevitably get injured again like Torres, Henry and Owen used to.
Having him fully fit will be like signing a £30m player, and it could make or break our season. Top 4 challenge or title challenge, he's that good.
