Avb deserves a lot of credit

Its easy to talk after the event , but had he brought on Romeu at 3-0 instead of 3-2, it may have gone differently, but with Webb at the helm it was always going to be a tough one. Lotsa positives tho i'd agree.
Im glad we continued to maintain some attack options, as sitting back to defend would have been disastrous.

I think Avb is almost through with the transition and we are about to start reaping the benefits of his hard work, all that remains imo is a decent dedicated striker.

Honestly we don't know ourselves when this transition will end. For starters AVB is 4 players short of making this his OWN team! We will judge this first stage of the transition at the seasons end.

If I could cling onto something from yesterday, I would but there was nothing positive about yesterday. Right from the word go, we lost possession, couldnt string more than 3 passes together, defence was all over the place, our build up play was woeful. Our midfield was anonymous. What annoys me the most how we concede possession so easily.

One positive is that there is a Chelsea team beyond our old guard! We just need to install a winning mentality into this new team. We are so close, but so far.

We need a vision!!!!!!!! A long term plan!!!

If I was Managing Director, I would call a big private meeting today with the whole board and all the coaching staff. I would discuss the long term plans and how to move forward. Then I would call the whole team to attend that meeting to ensure we are all singing from the same hymn** sheet.

THEN....... I would have a 1-1 with selected players! Actually I would call them in 2s and 3s at a time. Giving them confidence, letting them know to stand up and be counted as future leaders of the club.

Exactly. They looked like 11 strangers out there. United's attack were all on the same page yesterday, Rooney Valencia & Young. They all were reading each others minds. Our attack was too busy running around in circles

This is what AVB needs to sort out!! He needs to make this TEAM!!!!!!

Its true United seem to have alot of players on the same page. 2 players on the same wavelength = 1 supreme player if you catch my drift.

I was kind of jelous to see Welbeck covering Giggs on the half way touchline, then as soon as Giggs recieves the ball, Welbeck just sprints past him and runs right up ahead at full speed to either recive the pass or to open up space for Giggs. Using my footballing brain without my Chelsea hat on, it was a joy to see Man United work for eachother as a team. So impressive.
