What do Chelsea do with £50m Torres?

Right now Torres doesn't look like a man with anything going for him, it doesn't matter what he does with the ball, as long as he's not scoring the £50m paid for him will seem like a big waste of money. It really reminds me of when the club bought Shevchenko against the manager's wishes.

Anyway, I was wondering if Torres can be temporarily be transformed into a winger? Right now, he has everything in his locker except his shooting boots. He can still walk past any player he likes, he has pace and he still has skills. He whipped in a peach of a cross for Mata yesterday as well.

It may seem like a stupid strategy, you pay £50m for a striker and then convert him into a winger, but is it any more stupid than Chelsea to continue playing him up front when he has more cards for Chelsea than he does goals, in fact he's scored more goals against Chelsea than he has for them.

The way I see it, they can either have a £50m flop of a striker who doesn't get goals, or they can try to be a bit adventurous and, temporarily at least, have a £50m winger who will be able to use his current abilities to his best until a time where he does find his scoring form again. Let's be honest guys, he's been there a year now and has scored 3 goals in 33 PL appearances, it can't be harmful to give it a try?

sell him to the knackers yard.

our central defenders have got more goals this season than him. I thought a run in the side without Drogba breathing down his neck would sort him out but he is getting worse.

i had to laugh yesterday when they said he has still socred more goals against chelsea than for them

Ay present he only goes to right when there is space and the wide player has done most of the work already. If he played as a winger then he would have to track back more, and also take the wing backs head on. Don't really see this as his strength. He is a might good crosser though once he gets in that position.

Who is the bigger flop AVB or Torres?

They might as well sell Torres and buy a proper winger instead of turn him into a winger. OK they wont get anything like the 50m for him but they'd get enough to buy a better winger than Torres.

His shooting was actually embarrassingly bad yesterday. I knew he was lacking confidence but some of his shots were ridiculous scuffs off the side of his boot, and then of course there was the time he was too scared to shoot when 7 yards out.

Torres wont rediscover himself at Chelsea, so best for him and them if he is sold, but they'll lose a Schevchenko sized amount. Maybe Roman will learn to stop buying expensive dream team players against more knowledgable managers' wishes if he keeps paying these penalties, which are even more costly in the FFP world. That's £80m he's blown on two strikers alone!

AVB, by a mile...

Just think. Torres + Carroll combined cost more than Ronaldo!

But he isn't a winger though, you wouldn't put Rooney or Drogba on the wing because they can get past players and cross

So what do you do with him? I was just thinking about an alternative way of him getting his career back on track because right now he doesn't even look like a £10m player.
