Brace Yourselves

For more nonsense defending Grayson on Late Kick Off.

It'll be the same lazy throwaway remarks again.

Nick Joe Jordan from Spurs - he's Scottish, an essential ingredient for managerial success in mid-table England (with apologies to SAF)

Now hang on just a minute, GIO.

Are you seriously suggesting that there's someone out there that has an opinion of Grayson that's different from your's!?

My God!

Spread the word!

The people must know!

Raise the alarm! THIS IS NOT A DRILL, PEOPLE!!!

Saying he took over a struggling League 1 team makes it out as if we were nowhere near promotion till he came in.

We were on a poor run when he came in, that's all.

We went on a worse run under him.

How is promotion and a 7th place finish in the Championship a worse run than 9th in League One and getting knocked out of the FA Cup by a postman?

4 defeats in a row without scoring are worse than 4 defeats in a row where you score in every one.

Have you considered looking at where we finished in the season that that losing streak falls in?

Grayson was in charge of Leeds for 169 games. You're looking at less than 5% of that total to base your judgement.

So why couldn't McAllister have recovered from his poor run and finished 2nd?

It was nearly the end of December, we'd lost 5 games in a row and we were already 5 points adrift of the playoffs, nevermind 2nd place

Let me reiterate, we were 9th in LEAGUE 1, not the championship!

Macca had to go unfortunately, he was given enough time to get us playing football, but his experiment didn't work.

Grayson was a big improvement and exactly what we needed at the time i.e. a proven league 1 manager with promotion credentials.

I think that's the simplistic view that Bates took and it set the club back years.

Macca could have strengthened the defence in the transfer window, and he proved he could get results at the business end of the season before.

5 points can be easily made up over half a season.

Peterborough made up 6 points to finish 2nd, and they were only 5 points ahead of us.

How can you say he was given enough time when he never had a full season?

You can only really judge someone over a full season and there were a lot of positive signs during his period.

Think about how Grayson approached the job and then imagine how we'd have done if he's taken over from Wise.

That thought scares me.

Bates brought Grayson in cos he was addicted to the loan and freebie markets, Macca was paying good money for good players; that Grayson eventually got rid of, cept 3 now.

Grayson's had more bad runs that Macca did. Macca could'ave got the team and points back.

Grayson lost an 11 point lead, and we ended up fighting for our lives.

I rest me case M'Lud.
