To begin with, never seen such borign football at home. Just hit it to Carroll from any given angle on the pitch and hope for the best
Kranjcar looked very composed on the ball, obviously lacked the pace but passing was good and defensivley was surprisingly effective. Good performance. Topped off with the great ball to realease Bale
Dawson, back to his best. Coincednece that he has his best game in a long time when plays next to King? I think not
Walker, supreme. shut out Bellamy and then Downing, defended very well
Saha came on and looked better the Ade (although not difficult), won headers and looked like he wanted to do something
Bale, always felt as though he was on the fringes, waiting to explode in to the game and he got his chance to do so
Adebayor, genuinley feel like we've got everything we could out of him. His touch is horrific, nothing sticks and his passing is just as bad
Brad was brave, had nothing spectacular to do
Parker, thought he started slowly giving free kicks away and under/over hitting passes but grew in to his normal self as the game went on
Livermore, very very good. Although looked as though he was playign higher up the pitch on then Modric?

insightful thoughts on last nights game

I've been a big supporter of Ade but last night he was terrible. His control was shocking & his foot-work looked like a baby Giraffe trying to ice skate.
Considering we had big players out, Kaboul, Lennon, Defoe, Sandro & VdV, i thought we did well to get the point. Bale will be disappointed he didnt convert that 1-on-1 but then Suarez will be equally annoyed he didnt do better with that header.
Parker is such a warrior. Whether he gets stamped on or kicked in the ribs, he just gets treatment, brushes himself down & carries on. No moaning to the ref, no swearing, he's just a real old-school pro-footballer.
I know this is a different debate altogether but he should take the England armband, without a doubt.

only one team turned up last night, spurs did nothing but park the bus and we lacked any kind of creativity to break through it.
another draw at home we should have won, same old story.

Did you know that Liverpool have featured in 10 goal-less first 45 mins, this season?
Do you think KD sets his team out too cautiously? My first thoughts on the first half last night was that both teams seemed more terrified of losing, rather than wanting to win. And judging by that stat above, is this how Liverpool have tactically been playing for most of the season?
Genuine question there - i'm not having a dig.

That's a joke, we came to hit you on the break which turned out to be a great tactic considering the amount of pressure you put on us from kick-off. Had Ade used the ball better we could've caused you a lot more problems. VDV would've made a huge difference too.

Have a look at the STATS from the game, neither team really did much more than the other

not really, we had a few chances but they were not taken. we spent most of the game in your half doing feck all.

aka parking the bus.
there's no shame in it. You do it when you need to unless you're suicidal or beyond arrogant.
Even Wenger did it in the CL the one year they made the final. Every top manager and English club does it when needed or practical.
practical may not equal sexy but it gets the results you need if you have the quality to pull it off. You do and you did.

RRP- don't give me stats, i watched the game and spurs offered nothing but one breakout from bale, and he bottled that.
