ARE WE A GRAVEYARD?

FOR TECHNICAL AND SKILLFUL PLAYERS like Nani,Berbatov and Anderson.
Look at Nani.He has got everything - Pace,Trickery,Power,Dribbling,Good shot, goal scoringability, just everything that you expect from a sensational player. He even outperforms Ronaldo for Portugal and gets standing ovations. But what do we do? We tell him to curb his twists and tricks and be more direct. He has even spoke out against this and if we continue to curb his natural game he may well be off to a Continental team where his skills would be much appreciated and that would be irreparable loss for us.
2)Berbatov - Our most skillful striker.Has a great first touch, can dribble past defenders for fun, rarely looses the ball unlike Rooney/Hernandez and one of the most skillful strikers in the PL.And what do we do? We play him as a lone striker which is clearly not his favourite position. The height of all we do not include him for the CL final for Owen. What an insult to him.
3)Anderson - Was bought as a direct replacement for Paul Scholes. He had every ingredient that is required to be a top midfielder. He was also touted as the "Next Ronaldinho".Earlier he could dribble past players, assist, score loads of goals, take fantastic freekicks and corners. And what do We do? We covert him to a holding/box to box midfielder thus destroying his talent. Now the time has come that if he doesn't perform well this season he may well be sold. What a waste of talent.
On top of everything we buy overrated Englishmen like Young which is a bigger insult to these fantastic talents.
I feel we that even though we have won so many trophies in the last few years we have become too workmanlike especially after Ronnie left. Please honestly tell me do you like the style of football we play nowadays? No wonder Sanchez,Sneijder do not want to come.

Sadly Nani's shooting is hit and miss, and the majority of that is miss.

His decision making is very poor, how many times has he ignored well placed team mates so he could sky one into row Z?

Anderson scored lots of goals.... for whom? He's never been a goalscoring midfielder. Plus, he still runs past players, he just does it from deep. Would you rather we sacrificed tradition wing play and give Valencia, young and Nani next to no playing time just to accomodate a attacking midfielder who is showing signs that he can be a very good player even playing from deep?

Nani is too inconsistent to be given free reign to do tricks just yet. Also, becoming more direct can't be an excuse for giving poor performances, plus i don't see why you have an issue with it anyway as it resulted in him giving us his best season yet last season. Look what happened to Ronaldo once he became more direct.

Berbatov isn't suited to a lone role, i'll give you that. However your complaining about the style of a team IN TRANSITION. Giggs is coming to the end, Van der sar, Neville and Scholes have retired, age and injuries are catching up on rio... Fergie is beginning to mould us into the best counter attacking team again, injecting pace and skill (young is not overrated, his assists stats for 4 years in not exactly the strongest side speaks for itself and will help us a lot with his versatility and counter attacking threat) and also a centre back who can surge forward and go past players with ease (Phil Jones). Get off the managers case.
