Big weekend

Afternoon all,
As im sure you are all aware, this weekends fixtures are massive with the bottom 6 playing each other.

Bolton v Wigan
Blackburn v QPR
Wolves v West brom

IMO we will get all three points at the reebok tomorrow which would take us onto 23 points.

QPR will not go down, due to the fact of a great manager and good signings in January therefore im hoping for QPR to win with west brom and wolves to draw.

Would like to see your opinions

Why does everyone think Mark Hughes is a great manager or some kind of saviour of lost souls?

He did as well with us as Allardyce did with you, thats quite an achievement.

Did he? I can't remember Mark Hughes managing Blackburn to 4 consecutive Top 8 finishes in the Prem, or qualifying for Europe twice ......

All right, lets take the most successful years for each manager. Hughes gets a freebie in his first for rebuilding Souness' last awol year, Allardyce gets 2 freebies for managing a newly promoted club.

Allardyce 2003-07: 8th, 6th, 8th, 7th. Average 7.25th
Hughes 2005-08: 6th, 10th, 7th. Average 7.67th

Allardyce: 2 european qualifications, 1 cup final, not sure how many semi-finals.
Hughes: 3 european qualifications, 3 cup semi-finals.

Maybe Allardyce edges it, very close though.

Fair enough ...Didn't think Hughes's record with you was as good as that. He'll have his work cut out though, tryin' to turn QPR around in such a short space of time ...
