Why no Wimbledon on Sunday?

It's known as a 'rest day' - just how it is.

It also means that fourth round day at Wimbledon is unique. It's the only slam that has a day on which the entire singles draw is scheduled, rather than one half of each draw. In every other slam you wouldn't see all top four seeds on the same day.

It's also the only slam which has days with the women's quarter and semi finals without any men's singles.

Long may it continue.

Ah, I stand corrected, I forgot to add "before the semi final" after I mentioned the top four seeds.

Andy Murray had an extra day rest, how is that fair?

I wouldn't worry about it because Richard Gasquet, who he plays tomorrow also had Saturday and Sunday off.
