But

There once was a footballing cat
Who played in a black bowler hat.
When he ran down the wing
He could not see a thing
And you can guess what the crowd thought of that!!!

they thought "We want our money back!"
the crowd would hopefully appreciate the talent the cat must have to be blind but still get in the team. Either that or serious disgruntlement.

And this is a true story. God knows why he gets so much stick. We are talking about a cat that broke away from its way of cat life, made a life for itself, it only tryed to live its dream. get of its back!! back then if it got a bit more support, well, who knows. People hated cats playing football back then. shame.
