tim sherwood rumours

Hi guys, i do some part time scouting for my local team watford, i was speaking to some people around the club yesterday who have contact with tim sherwood (former player did a few of his coaching badges with the club i think) now there are rumours if harry was to go early that tim would be given the role till the end of the season to see what he can do, i know hes well liked by harry and ther club rate him so was just thinking what u all think if this was to happen? im not crazy on sherwood for my own reasons but what do others think?

Although i'm not convinced by the above, i'll will comment on your article regardless.

I, like many, was thinking long term & whilst Harry is a magician, the people around him must have learned alot from him. So i was wondering whether someone like Joe Jordan, Kevin Bond or Clive Allen may take the reins. I dont think they're a big enough name, but if we want to continue playing the same, then surely they will know what the secret potion is.

This rumour has been around since the start Of the season even before the whole Capello incident.

I have been saying this since August and the fact that I have five grand on him becoming next manager (caretaker or permanent) should get across how serious I am.

As spurcat has mentioned sherwood is very well liked especially high up in the club. Contrary to what he has heard....I heard that Harry has pushed for him to be his successor.

Personally I think mr sherwood is only in the job because of his mates les Ferdinand and Jamie redknapp. Not disputing his abilities just do not think he is anything special.

Good luck at Watford buddy hope it's going well

yeah i have my opinions on sherwood but as you say he is highly thought of at the club and it doesnt hurt hes best mates are influential at the club

On that point, you may be interested to hear that before Milan Mandaric appointed Gary Megson as his manager at Sheffield Wednesday, his first choice for the job was Kevin Bond. Bond had expressed interest in taking the job as he felt his long term future with Spurs was uncertain with Harry being constantly linked with the national job.

Getting back to Sherwood, his appointment at Spurs was initially a part-time one, but he was soon elevated to full-time as he impressed from day one. So whilst his time with us hasn't always run smoothly, he is noneless, highly thought of.
