I actually can't believe that.
I was gobsmacked to see KD in the team today. Anyone know why he was there? Was it a typo, has he played well recently, or does he just suck good ****
451 has been good to us recently. It has worked well, we have got more points than ever using this formation this season, so why in Gods name has out genius manager decided to change it? Seriously, why? The only thing I can think is that he thought we could hammer Wigan and so he decided to play 2. There is no other reason, in my eyes.
I know Coyles decisions haven't been great, but this one is the most monumental one ever. What an absolute clanger.
Unbelievable

Agree withyour team selection including ricketts in the middle but I watched a bit of mears in my time and he is worse than steinsson but maybe go whole hog and let Riley have game time

Never been a fan of Steinsson, he has some games where he's outstanding, but for the most part he's below par, way below.
I'd have Mears, purely because he's back from injury and he deserves a shot. Didn't see Norwich game but I heard he had. Rather solid game?

Not sure you're in a position to start giving people grief after yesterday's performance.. Alienating most fans because they are angry and upset is crazy??
Anyone feel free to tell me where to vent my anger and frustration please. I go to the game and don't boo there as its not heathy for the club....
So I choose the Internet....
Problem??

I think we have our wires crossed, LMB. To the point that I don't fully understand your reply.
I'm always in a position to give people grief if I disagree with the way they are expressing their views and think they are being childish and unreasonable. What happens on the pitch at the Reebok doesn't give people carte blanch to be a tool on here, IMO.
I didn't have you specifically in mind when I wrote my previous post, and I don't really see how you've interpreted my use of the word "some" into "most", either. C'est la vie.

If folk are pinning our survival hopes on Lee & Holden ...then we're doomed. It will take a considerable amount of time for Lee to get back to his high standards - by which time it may be too late. I doubt Holden will even make an appearance this season, and there has to be serious concerns as to whether he'll ever be the same player again, after 2 career-threatening injuries.
OC has to start to find a way to motivate ALL the players, not just the ' star turns ' who need little help anyway. One of BSA's strengths was that he could find ways of making an average player play above himself whenever he was called upon. OC only seems to be any good with players who are naturally well above average ability already ..and we have very few of those available at the moment.

Morning Mallorca - how was your trip over the hill? Hope you managed to obliterate yesterday's debacle from your memory!
As for the posting, i think overall everyone managed to debate in a civil way, and some good points raised by everyone. Only nunsnmoses resorted to any form of abuse that i saw.
Considering how bad the performance was, and how angry everyone was feeling, i think on the whole we can all applaud ourselves!

I honestly don't think motivation is an issue. The Lauras have showed their motivation and determination in good performances against United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Blackburn and Everton.
Coyle chuffed up against Wigan by underestimating them. Go back to 451 and we will probably hammer Chelsea and City.

Ugh!
Everyone knows what 'Lauras' are, right?
Players!

I think it takes a certain type of manager to get the players up for ALL the games ...otherwise they perform inconsistently ..great for one / two games, then (inexplicably) poor the next couple. etc.
...and if there's one thing that's totally consistent about Bolton ......it's that we're the Masters of Inconsistency

The players are not unmotivated they just don't know what they are doing as the guidance by the coaches is so poor. Too much feel good but no nitty gritty ideas. We are being run by a modern day Kevin Keegan.
