A Chelsea fans opinion.

Spoke to a Chelsea fan today who claimed, at the start of the season, you were playing Barcelona-style champagne football. 'High-line' and all that. The results weren't perfect, but this was described as 'transition.'

Now, he claims Chelsea have gone back to playing route one football, but still are not getting the results. Is this a sign that AVB's methods have failed to change the players, instead he's having to change to the players methods?

I also asked about Torres. He laughed, claiming they tried to off-load him in January and no-one wanted him.

Not Barcelona, more Swansea style football
And it was working in terms of creating chances, but we were pants defensively

Now we're playing worse football than we were last season, creating no chances, and are still pants defensively!

i think that was his point

From what i've seen he's right, you do seem to have regressed as the seasons gone on. Kind of like under Scolari.

That seems odd, because this time you've got a genius in charge who can speak English. I thought at the start he had his plan mapped out well.

All the fans complain when we have high line and ask for a deep line, then they all complain when we have a deep line to go to a highline. AVB can't win

Who'd be a manager?

These fans should focus on the players more. Even Terry admitted that after Scolari got sacked.

Nothing wrong with the players, Avb's at the helm.
