I am getting sick and tired about the unfair criticism levied at Henderson. The guy is a youngster, and before he transferred to us, he was being touted as one of the best young players on the planet. Why can't fans, particularly opposition ones, give him a chance to see how well he performs in a Liverpool shirt before they criticise him? I actually have a funny feeling that he will win young player of the year award this year.
Also, the nonsense about his transfer fee is getting very annoying too. The deal was for a £12m initial fee with addons depending on England appearances, EPL & ECL triumphs etc to a maximum of £16m. I think we will be happy to pay the full fee if it means we win the EPL and ECL! Also, when you factor in the £8m valuation of N'Gog, it is more like a £4m transfer fee. Which when you consider Man U have just shelled out £24m on Jones is a bargain.
So my message is to give him a chance, and stop saying he cost £20m.

If you can find a source that confirms £12m up to £16m then I'll believe you but every media lutlet out there has reported £16m rising to £20m. Sunderland rejected a £16m offer but accepted one with improved add-ons, is how most have reported it.
Whether you sell N'gog for 1p or £8m to Sunderland, that does not detract from the value of Henderson (£16-£20m). The fact he hasn't even gone to Sunderland means you cannot write down Henderson's value based on a swap deal that never took place. Bottom line, LFC paid £16m for Henderson.
And that is where most people are coming from when taking the mic......£16m for a player who has had 2 seasons in the EPL, who stood out before Christams but has been pretty awful since, and has then followed that up by a pretty poor showing for U21s. The lad is not fit to lace the boots of the likes of Willshire, or even the likes of Modric when he first arrived in Eng 3 years ago for the same fee.
