Getting creative today...
There's an article in the LT quoting Wayne Wild's proposition to set up an investment trust to buy out the club. The idea is that IF we go down, he'll try and persuade Venky's to part with the club for £10m. This would equate to 10000 fans paying £1000 per share.
Ignoring the fact that Venky's won't entertain the offer (and understanding that this is entering the realm of fantasy) would you part with £1000 to rid the club of the venkys and have your say?
£1000 per share

Efan Ekoconut mushroom bananas!!! That is what we used to sing when I watched Vinnie Jones lead Wimbledon out at Selhurst Park! Those were the days I would get Big Alan Shearer to come over and sign autographs whilst he was warming up with the Premier Legue Champions of 1995! I was only 14 and in dreamland then. I got autographs of pretty much our whole championship winning team and a Premier League Champion shirt with Fenton 14 on the back! F knows what possessed me to get his name on the back but there you go!

I admire the fans who keep coming up with these proposals but I think the value of the club would have to reach about £5m before this became possible. We still couldn't get 10,000 fans to part with £500 but we could maybe get about 8,000 and hope there are enough supporters with money to buy multiple shares and make up the rest. I think this would only become a realistic idea if we were relegated to League 1.
