Spurs Are A Small Club

You only have to look at their ambitions this season to see why. They're having one of their best seasons in recent history and the only thing their fans care about is finishing above Arsenal.

A few weeks back, when Spurs were only a few points off the top of the table, the tax dodger was asked what Spurs' main target is for the remainder of the season and he gave the following answer - "We want to try and finish above Arsenal this year, that's our first aim." - now if that isn't a small club's mentality, I don't know what is. Aiming to finish above Arsenal when you're only a few points off the top of the table is a real sign of desperation.

Their fans' attitude this season is nothing short of a joke. Instead of enjoying their best season in god knows how long, they're consistently going on about how they've overtaken us. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure you don't win a trophy for finishing in the top four? Or so I've been told for the past 7 years.

They've been bragging about being above us for the best part of 6 months, but is that really something worth bragging about? I mean we've finished above them for the past 15 years but not once have we seen that as an achievement.

I'm kind of happy they're getting so carried away because when the inevitable happens next season and they're sent crashing back down to earth, they're going to understand how hard it is to consistently finish in the top four and challenge for trophies at the same time.

8bit - there is no functionality on this forum that would allow me to connect to the phone. I doubt they'd give me their number anyway as I complain about every article and post apparently

It's not small club mentality, it's just being realistic. This is our first real season where we are completely disrupting the status quo. And all arsenal fans bang on about is "they only won finish above us! loloool small club". You can have that if you want.

But the fact is, over the past 3 or 4 seasons, you have been on a downward spiral whereas we have been moving up. And now it has finally happened, our superior squad is now living up to the quality that we have bragged about.

Whereas now you're struggling to even finish above Newcastle, I'm not calling that a small club mentality, because I actually believe you are becoming a small club. Far way off the title winners of ten years ago, or the invincibles you constantly bang on about. You even wern't able to hang onto your best player, Fabregas, what a big club you. Whereas we managed to hang onto Modric, and look how well he is performing now.

Face it. You'll be lucky to get Europa league football this season, enjoy the champions league while you're still in it. Yes, we do want to finish above you, it would give is bragging rights for the whole summer, I still feel we can still challenge for the premier league. Most people have been saying we've played the best football out of anyone this season, so why not. I'm not going to bang out about 7 years without a trophy, because frankly, that's not such a big problem for a club the size of arsenal.

Fact is, we're on the way up, and you're on the way down. Come to terms with it.
