What I always find amazing is that

Harry is an absolute valuable commodity to Spurs, could go to the England job and Spurs will pick up about £10 million maximum in compensation, and yet players like Torres £50 million, Carroll £35 can be sold for those stupid amounts.

Is there really that much gap between a brilliant manager and some supposedly good players that have thus far not done the business. Surely Spurs should be able to put a £30 million price tag on Harrys head, he is after all still under contract.

The amount of money Spurs will receive at present is a mere pittance considering the massive hole it will leave at the club, with Harry in all probability taking our entire coaching staff, and the choice of decent replacements is very thin on the ground.

I think the FA if the want Harry should be made to pay a very heavy price. So Daniel lets start at the £30 million mark. They can then take it or leave it. The choice is theirs.

Good point OP

The fact he's already started naming his squad does kinda hurt our negotiating position though

Harry is as good as gone, as soon as the season ends he will be off but there is no need to be negative, DL has learned some valuable lessons when it comes to appointing managers we will be fine

grandspurs

Let`s hope so. But they won`t come as cheap as Harry came.

i dont think you can compare the prices really.

a footballer brings in all kinds of revenue from merchandise whereas a manager wont, for example ronaldo went to Real for 80 and within a year they had made their money back in shirt sales and merch.
if fergie had gone to madrid i doubt there would be 80 million worth of merch with his face and name on it.

why can't he manage both?

Because he will get slated! Imagine England have a friendly coming up and say for instance Spurs are playing Liverpool, now Defoe, Walker, Parker etc get rested yet Gerrard, Rooney etc are picked - the tabloids would go mad over it, especially if England lost and Spurs won

Sandy, the choice is not for Levy to make its for Arry if he wants to go so be it,most contracts stipulate that to move on to a better job,and the managing of your countries National side comes under that category, the most Levy can hope for is the outstanding money left on Redknapps contract....1Years wages and minor add ons.
