Seen reports on the Sky Sports News Website that Hazard has pretty much dropped a huge hint he may well be at Spurs next season. If these reports are true then even though I will be extremely jealous he is pulling on a Spurs shirt not a City one, I think such a great young talent will be extremely welcome in the PL.
Maybe he might solve your striker problem that so many Spurs fans have been crying out for over the last couple of years. Might mean you won't buy Adebayor off us though

If there's one club you'd like to attach yourself to amid football rumour it's Tottenham. We never buy anyone unless the deal is financially sound, and the rest of Europe know that. It makes him look affordable to the rest of the big boys.
------------------------------------------------------
I doubt that is true, not many clubs all over Europe are analysing Spurs transfer spendings, then looking at players they are linked with and then go for those players themselves because if Spurs are doing it then it must be financially viable. I think the big boys can afford there own financial advisor's without needing Spurs to point them in the right direction. Bit ridiculous thought really
I agree with BusbysBabes (U9083) it could be the way the question was worded to him. Personally I can see him at Spurs, the only other 2 clubs that are better than Spurs at the moment are City and United, and he might struggle to get as many appearances as he would like at those clubs. At Spurs he would be welcomed like a hero, he would be in the starting XI most weeks and reading between the lines he would be able to prove himself on the CL stage enough to attract Madrid or Barcelona to make a bid for him in a few years time.

at 30 odd mil plus 120k a week do you really see this happening
Maybe Mickey Hazzard, or even Daisy Hazzard (She be hot)

Like Man City Shaun says, he would only use us as a stepping stone to get a move to Real or Barca in the future

The stepping stone will always exist until we become one of them. The only way that will happen is if we sign players that will attract the interest of the bigger clubs, like Bale and Modric are right now.
Of course, we can always go back to the days of Sean Davis and Andy Reid if you like?

I'd welcome Hazard with open arms.
We have two wingers at our club, Bale and Lennon (Gio will hopefully doing the off soon). Hazard will slip straight into the team ahead of Lennon.
Can we afford his wages? Of course we can. Will it make everyone else happy that's he's walked into the squad and is already the highest paid player? Probably not... However, if we want to keep the likes of Bale, Modric, we'll need to break the wage structure eventually

Surely he wouldn't be asking for £120k a year?
It would show the team the owners ambitions buying such a name, but that sort of money could cause unrest within the squad.
As mentioned though players like him see any club they are at as a stepping stone to Madrid and Barca.

to warm the bench at City/ Chelsea.
------
what makes you think he wouldn't be a key player for Chelsea?
Because he would be as important to us as Mata or thereabouts
do you honestly think he'd struggle to get in the side ahead of the likes of Malouda and Kalou?
