As you can probably guess from my username, im a fan of Benny.
People say hes just a mercenary, but nothing is further from the truth, this is taken from the Standard at Christmas time:

"In the spirit of the festive season I'd like to share an experience that reminded me what is really important. Spurs arrange visits to local hospitals and it's always nice to see the smiles on the faces of those we meet.
This year, it felt even more special. I don't know if it was the riots or the ever-present reports about the financial hardships in the world.
During and just after the riots, I thought a lot about the challenges we face as a society. One thing I do think is just how separated we are even though technology has made the world smaller. I know it all sounds a bit philosophical but that's the festive season!
I try to meet and talk with the residents in N17 as much as possible, hoping to better understand the challenges people face in their lives.
…….The football is exciting, the challenge even more. But the coolest thought is of those people for whom our sport could help bring some of the season's joy; the young girl who will go to a game with her dad; the young boy who might be in hospital for Christmas and will only get to watch a game on TV and forget the pain and discomfort of their illness for two hours.
I know it's all a bit 'soft' but these things are more important than football. It has a role in our community that goes beyond the field and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation helped remind me of that.


We should be proud that this guy is our left back, epsecially when there are complete winkers around like Suarez, Tevez, Terry, Cole etc etc
