Hello fellow reds, as the title suggests i think one of the problems why we are lacking consistency is due too much rotation in the team. In my opinion i think Daglish should choose his first eleven which should play week in and week out. Thoughts?

Personally, these are the players I would definately sell in the summer:
Kuyt 5mil
Spearing 2mil
Downing 10mil
Carroll 15mil
Unfortuantely, that's only 32million return but lets bite the bullet and just sell.
People will point out that Carroll alone cost 35mill - having said that, I've always concluded that it was effectively Chelseas money so not all doom and gloom

I agree with Spearing and Carroll but think Kuyt and Downing should be kept.

The thing with Kut is that in the summer he';; have 12 months left on contract.
We have 2 choices:
sell and get about 5-6 million
keep for 12 months and let go on free next summer
The problem is that he is not playing well enough to merit a starting place so why let 5 mil go down the drain?
That's my view on it anyway. Personally, I think he should have been sold 18 months ago and we could have got a lot more.

If we got rid of Kuyt i reckon we might actually make more of an effort to get a proper RW, to easy to turn round and say him and Henderson can play there, when i don't think either can personally, and Downing should always be on the left how ever poor he has been.
We all admire the work ethic of Kuyt but unfortunately we are now at a stage when we require a bit more, and he is the wrong side of 30 so sell why he has value left.

We aren't rotating a lot. The back five are the same every week. The centre is basically the same every week. We are simply giving Maxi the odd game and Bellamy the odd few games in the month. I don't see that as rotating too much.
Our problem is tactics, playing players out of position and playing Downing and Carroll separately. Playing five in defence. Playing Suarez as a lone striker when he isn't a striker. Suarez likes to come back into midfield and drift wide which leaves our wingers redundant, with nobody in the box to aim at, meaning they have to turn and pass back.

TOOR:
Spot on mate
Tactics are the main culprit.
Too often playing players out of their natural positions. Playing too defensively and relying on trying to score on the break.
Agreed 100% on Suarez. For me he is not and out-and-out striker: He is a play maker who is also capable of scoring goals. We need people to get in the box to benefit from the chances he creates.
One of the most baffling things for me is the amount of times we have seen Carroll come on as a sub, and Henderson or Downing taken off, or Henderson come on and Carroll has been taken off.
If you are going to play Carroll, then at the same time play the players who can supply the crosses. Not one or the other ffs.

Exactly.
It's quite a concern that the people in charge of Liverpool football club can't see this.
It's as clear a problem as you're likely to get.
We need to adopt a 4-3-3 at home
